My friend through many years, Philip Eades, has moved to the Faroe Islands to work as a professional football coach. Being a busy man, he showed me around the islands when he had time.
Philip is giving training to the boys at AB Argir, moving football goals around the field, pumping balls, setting up the tactics for a game and sorting out dirty match clothes to be washed.
Philip is the octopus in the club, Philip is AB Argir.
When he had time we hung out at his apartment, in Torshavn or went to watch football games.
It was great to see Philip again, great to see how he was running the club and greater to see how beloved he is in the club and the football world of the Faroe Islands.
With this I would like to thank my buddy Philip, and his girlfriend Veronika, for the kindness and hospitality they had shown me. With such a warm feeling I sat on the plane going back home after 9 days on the islands. Thanks guys.
